This is an awesome accordion because it has keys. The only problem is that the keys stick right out of the box. The price is good so what can you expect. We still like to play with it.

Hugh Tracey Treble Kalimba 17-key Treble Kalimba Review

Hugh Tracey Treble Kalimba 17-key Treble Kalimba
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I proudly own a Hugh Tracey Treble Kalimba. This is a very fine instrument so don't be put off by it's simple design. It is well worth it's price the minute you hold it & play it for the very first time....the best sounding kalimba on the market....anything else is ,in my opinion, an imitation of it, I know, I bought one of "those" too!!!
You have to play one to know what I'm talking about. A finely crafted product...Do I sound like a commercial??? I sing it's praises, but a Hugh Tracey Kalimba "speaks" for itself!

Taylor Swift - Piano/Vocal/Guitar Artist Songbook Review

Taylor Swift - Piano/Vocal/Guitar Artist Songbook
Average Reviews:

This book is very good. My sister plays the guitar and I play the piano, so we play the songs together and we both sing. It's nice because the Book gives you a seperate line with the actual notes and words of the song. Some of the piano parts of the songs are slightly difficult. One has 4 flats in the key signiture, but most have none-2. =)

Grover-Trophy Piano Tuning Hammers (Square Head) Review

Grover-Trophy Piano Tuning Hammers (Square Head)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First of all, if you don't know how to tune a piano, STOP NOW! Without proper knowledge of how to manipulate a tuning lever, it's very easy for you to mess up the tuning, and even worse, you may break the string, loosen the tuning pin, or whatever. When you call a professional piano technician to fix the problem, you'd have to pay a lot more than usual fee for a tuning, because you've made his or her job more complicated.
Besides, with the square head of this tuning lever, it's very hard to set the lever on the tuning pin at good angle to manipulate it well. You need a star tip at least.
If you really want to tune your piano, learn how to do it correctly first. One good place to get information about piano tuning is the Piano Technicians Guild (ptg.org). Take good care of your piano.

Toca T-CK Percussion Effect Review

Toca T-CK Percussion Effect
Average Reviews:

I don't know how this instrument sounds as I was sent a cheaper version instead of this one which I ordered for just under $19.00. The one I received was nice enough, but I was disappointed. Be careful to check that they are sending you the correct instrument when you get to check out and that the price isn't around $13.00. Amazon didn't bother to let me know they were making a substitution.

Acoustica Pianissimo Virtual Grand Piano Review

Acoustica Pianissimo Virtual Grand Piano
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you are in need of a Virtual Grand Piano which can be used in live performance, I believe this is your best bet. I have tried many software pianos. Most of the free ones just don't have enough depth or expressiveness. And the Gigapianos are totally impracticle. Large sampled piano libraries that have to be constantly streamed from the hard drive can be far too CPU intensive and therefore too risky to be dependable for a live gig. The newest generation of virtual pianos has addressed this by combining sampling, modeling and morphing technology. The libraries are smaller in size and the marraige of these technologies has really trimmed the demand on the CPU. Best of all it has produced a richer more natural feeling, sounding and playing experience. The three top contenders in this category are Acoustica Pianissimo, 4 Front Truepianos, and Modartt Pianoteq. I have tried them all. And though they are all quality instruments, I feel that Pianissimo is the clear winner on sound and playability, alone. The fact that it is by far and away the most inexpensive is just a wonderful bonus. Try the demo versions of these pianos for yourself. I think you'll agree.

On-Stage Stands Heavy-Duty Deluxe X ERGO-LOK Keyboard Stand Review

On-Stage Stands Heavy-Duty Deluxe X ERGO-LOK Keyboard Stand
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have this item in my shopping cart in Amazon.com for a couple of months already waiting for a sale.
Finally, the sale came last week when the price was lowered by the seller.
I completed the transaction immediately.
It came in a nice box with the parts ready to be assembled.
It's light assembly took about 5 minutes.
The slots and screws were color coded so there's really no need to read the instruction.
The stand is so strong I could literally lie on it.
It supports my newly purchased Yamaha CP33 (40 lbs) nicely and won't shake while playing (being on carpet).
It can easily adjust the height (the very reason I bought this ergo-lock model) with a press of the adjust lever.
This is one of the best stands I saw in the stores.
Highly recommended.
We have two more of the same stand in our church. It is great.

Music for Little Mozarts: Music Lesson Book 1 Review

Music for Little Mozarts: Music Lesson Book 1
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When my four year old daughter started showing interest in playing our piano, I immediately set about to find a course of instruction for her (as an intermediate player, I chose to teach her myself). I checked out several books from the library, and browsed several local music shops. In total, I analyzed 6 different courses targeted for young children. I told my daughter she would start taking lessons when she turned 5 (two months away), and her anticipation started building.
Ultimately, I chose the "Music for Little Mozarts" series. The story-based flow of the lessons seemed intriguing, and the material seemed to progress at a good pace.
Well, we are now on the third book (the blue one), and I can say that these books are absolutely fantastic. As it turns out, my daughter hasn't shown much interest in the stories of the books (involving the different mice and other animal characters). She just enjoys working on the simple exercises. We work on the book for at least 10 minutes every day, and she volunteers to practice a little extra on some days. In the beginning, she was able to get through one exercise/page per day, but now it might take a little extra practice for her to learn the new notes. I bought some stickers at Staples, and every time she "passes off" a page, we put a little sticker on it. She really likes that.
Best of all, there has been very little discouragement (or boredom). Each exercise seems to be just the right difficulty.
The support offered with this series is also great. We work through the workbooks as well, and they provide excellent reinforcement for the concepts in the books. We haven't tried the flashcards or other materials offered (parent's guide, "Discovery Book", solo books, recital books, etc.), but I would expect them to be similarly helpful. The coloring books are just pictures of the characters, and don't serve to reinforce musical concepts.
If you're teaching a 4-6 year old how to play the piano, I highly recommend checking these books out!

Casio LK-270 61 Key Personal Lighted Keyboard with MP3 Connection, USB Port, SD Card Slot, and 570 Tones Review

Casio LK-270 61 Key Personal Lighted Keyboard with MP3 Connection, USB Port, SD Card Slot, and 570 Tones
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have had my LK270 for about a month and am extremely pleased with it. This is a great family instrument with very good sound. Easy to add midi files with the SD card and do they sound great. The lighted keyboard picks up on these files and plays along. Only downside is that to get the wait for key lights for an entire tune takes a few changes and button pushes every time the the keyboard is turned on. Not real intuitive buttons at times and requires using the manual every time for awhile. Casio telephone support experience was very positive and a lot of help. This is not a toy but a musical instrument with a very reasonable price and the lighted keyboard only way to go as I see it for family use keyboard. Be sure to order SD5 power supply imediately !

Music Note Finder by Wright-Way Review

Music Note Finder by Wright-Way
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Excellent teaching aid and not easy to find. I've taught piano for 40 years and this is one item that has never failed to help. The only downside is that the little note slides up & down the Grand Staff on a narrow gauge piece of string which wears out. Also, young students always want to try it out and it's not designed for children to press it to its limits! The string is somehow imbedded in the note, so when it breaks it's impossible to fix - at least for me. My solution was to buy 2 to have a spare!

Musician's Gear Deluxe Keyboard Bench Review

Musician's Gear Deluxe Keyboard Bench
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a decent bench. It arrives fully assembled. Height ss pretty easy to adjust. The only criticism, the padding is a bit on the firm side. The bench solidly built and feels very stable. Given the good amount of adjustment this will work well for keyboard playing. We're using it as a guitar stool / bench, and it works beautifully for that purpose.

Mbira Finger Piano with Cymbals - Zimbabwe Review

Mbira Finger Piano with Cymbals - Zimbabwe
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Most searches for "karimba" bring up kalimbas, mbiras, and assorted thumb pianos that do not match what I personally recognize as a karimba with buzzers, originating from the Shona people of Zimbabwe. The seller's photograph convinced me that what I wanted matched their product. The instrument was true to the photograph, the delivery was speedy, and the seller even included some extra tabs. Highly recommended!

Nord Electro 3, 61-Key Electronic Stage Piano and Organ, (AMS-NE361) Review

Nord Electro 3, 61-Key Electronic Stage Piano and Organ, (AMS-NE361)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I sold my Electro 2 so I could partially buy the latest model. After using it a few weeks it's clear how much better it could have been. Here are the good and bad:
Good:
- New sounds including Vox Continental, Farfisa, harpsichords and samples.
- Better Hammond organ sound.
- Better piano sounds but they take up a lot of memory and do not have keyboard resonance features of the Nord Stage EX.
- Sample software allows you to create your own sounds, organize your patches and is easy to use.
- More built-in effects including reverb, compression and 3 different amplifier distortions.
- USB (not MIDI) interface to download patches.
Bad:
- Limiting up/down buttons plus A/B patch selector makes it difficult to get to the sounds you want quickly. The Electro 2 had 8 buttons plus bank up/down which is more useable.
- Unergonomic button layout makes navigation difficult. For example, the shift button is too far from the organ presets making it impossible to play and switch presets at the same time.
- Lack of effect amount knobs as on the Electro 2. You are stuck with toggling through only 3 preset amount settings.
- Ring modulation should not be an oscillator like tremelo. The Electro 2 is correct.
- New Vox and Farfisa sounds aren't that accurate.
- Expression pedal always effects organ volume so there is no way to do Wah-Wah organ.
- Only 64 MB of onboard sample library memory means you'll be limited to how many sounds you can use at a time.
- Sample software is limiting and doesn't allow for more than one sample per key, assigning polyphony, glide (portamento) or other patch functions.
- No pitch wheel. Nord provides many synthesizer samples but, there's no way to control them. The Electro 3 cannot receive pitch bend MIDI commands from another keyboard either.
- No modulation wheel. Why bother having any synthesizer sounds without modulation.
- Same non-weighted keyboard feels junky.
- Expensive.
