The Casio CTK-571 portable keyboard features 61 full-size keys, 24-note polyphony, and 128 PCM tones, plus 9 drum-percussion kits. Built-in stereo speakers give you reasonable sound quality for most situations, and a headphone jack plus a stereo lineout (to attach to a home stereo) give you the volume options you need for late-night practice or big performances.
The CTK-571 includes a three-step teaching system. Just play any key to advance the melody notes, then play them--musical accompaniment will wait for you. Finally, play the melody in time along with complete rhythmic accompaniment.
Other features include song memory with two song locations, a sustain pedal jack, midi in/out jack, and a backlit LCD window. The LCD displays selections and status of tone, rhythm, song, volume, melody off, and tempo for complete control. The 100 rhythm patterns, 30 classical songs, and 20 popular songs complete the musical package.
The CTK-571 operates with an optional AD-5 AC adapter or D batteries.

(More customer reviews)My young son is doing well on the first song he is learning in this book. It was within his ability, but still very nice to hear him play. Additionally, it gave him some interesting harmonies and rhythms to work on. He also needed to be able to play staccato with the left hand, and legato with the right hand.

Korg X50 61-Key Synthesizer Review

(More customer reviews)I've owned the x50 for a couple of years now and use it in my home studio. First of all is sound quality. The top of the line Korg series is the Triton keyboards, which cost thousands of dollars (depending on the model). This keyboard uses the same engine, so the sounds are quite similar to the top of the line model. In other words, incredible sounds.
So why is it less than a thousand bucks? First of all, it's not as customizable. Make no mistake, you can still tweak every sound, but it's not as easy or as in depth as the Triton series.
Second are the physical stats: 61 VELOCITY SENSITIVE, but NOT weighted keys. This means that you can still play with dynamic control, but there isn't the feedback one might be used to from a piano. The keyboard itself is very well constructed but mainly plastic. It will surprise you in it's lack of heft, but don't confuse that with cheapness. It's solid.
So why use this? The voices are amazing. I use it in my home studio to backup my guitar. For one song I wrote in a flute solo and then brought in a flautist to learn the song so she could play with me live. She commented on how good the flautist was who recorded for me. She didn't even know it was a keyboard.
The strings, piano and organ sections are particularly strong.
It's great for my studio since I'm not a pianist. It's exceedingly portable so it would be great for gigs too. It's really a great deal since you get thousands of dollars worth of voices for less than a thousand.

OSP HS-06 Earset Headworn Microphone for Shure Review

(More customer reviews)I was looking for a wireless Mic that suits my needs, it wasn't wasn't easy. I had a Shure Handheld but I needed a Lavalier type to make my Hands free during playing. As a Keyboard/ Digital Piano player, I needed a Mic that be small, strong gain and nice looking. I found this item good enough on paper and it has proven as such when it arrived.
I found 2 things that this Mic could get more benefits from:
1- The length of it short and it does not pick up the signal strong enough as it says in description. It should reach at least to the corner of your Lips to work perfectly. Or you have to increase the Gain on your Instrument or Mixer that cause a bit problem, especially if you have to be close to the equipments like Digital Piano or Controller.
Measure from back of your ear's Tragus to the corner of your mouth, this guy is around 8-9cm. Wish they make the length adjustable(Antenna type).
2- Price: you won't be able to find it cheaper than $129 anywhere, don't even bother. Nobody sells it cheaper, No 2nd hand available also on eBay or Craigs. Nobody wants to resell it I assume when they bought it. No Demo anywhere to test then buy.
Not sure how expensive the building Materials are, but even though they made it in China (China sticker on it), it has $129 price tag.
At the end, you will be really happy buying it, don't worry. it is strong, very nice and Pro looking.
I had a few questions and called the seller company directly before and after buying and the customer support were very nice and co-operative.
Another thing you may consider is, they have another General version of it name HS-09, that has detachable wire and works with other Wireless systems, like Audio Technica ..., mine was Shure PGX.

(More customer reviews)if you're a multi-instrumentalist you'll love Komplete6, if you only play guitar/bass buy guitar rig 4 only, all the softwares are easy to use except for Reaktor 5 its a complex and requires alot of time, battery 3 (for drummers) is amazing i connected it by midi with my electronic roland drum kit (TD12), also it can be connected with midi keyboard, and there's updates for all the programs that you can download with the service center

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Once More with Feeling P/V/G Review
